Buck Naked and Wet
The attached is one of my favorite short films from Pixar. After you watch it, tell me this:
- What do you generally do when you fall flat on your face in failure?
- What lessons have you learned from your greatest failures?
- Who's your "jackalope" to provide you with advice and encouragement during these times?
I usually just get back up and try to find a new way to deal with the situation. Lessons: admit what's wrong and what I did to get there. Formulate a new plan of attack. Apologize to anyone who was offended or inconvenienced. Move on to success and block the rest of the failure out of my mind. My "jackelope" is my husband.

Thanks Amy! Don't spouses make the best jackalopes?

Timothy,
That was a great video! I really appreciated you sharing it with me on your blog. In fact, It inspired a post from me on my own blog about how this relates to sales professionals. In our live we are "sheared almost daily. It is not how often we are sheared but how quickly we "bound back" that really matters. My jackalopes are my wife, my boss, and my team.
Thanks again for some great insight into a great video.

Thanks, Brad. I'm glad it added value to your day. Also, I appreciate the "link love" - I'm learning a lot of respect for sales... after all, we're all in sales in one way or another... your profession is the only one that's not in denial about it.
